Here are a few downloadable programs you might find useful. Click on the names to be directed to somewhere you can download the program:
This is effectively the MH3U bible. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you might want data on when hunting is in this neat program. Monster weaknesses, carve rates, details on all armours/weapons, combos, veggie elder trades, fishing fleet loot...the list goes on! I would definitely recommend downloading this.
Unsure about which weapon would be the best against a particular monster? This program allows you to calculate how much damage various weapons will do, and compare them in whichever way you wish. It also comes with some pretty flowcharts explaining all possible attacks that can be executed with each weapon type.
NOTE: Bowgun damage is not included, unfortunately.
Want to make your personal perfect armour set, with all of your favourite armour skills? This program makes designing your armour sets very simple - just click on the skills you want, input a bit about what you have access to and press Search. It even has an Advanced Search to let you deselect pieces of armour you do not want to wear.
Plus, if you want to find out what charm table you are, just input a few of your slotted and double skill charms into the program, and you shall find out!
This program is more for the obsessed hunter who wants to know all of the best charms that they can get in their charm table, potentially for inspiration into what armour skill combinations could be possible.
To find the best quest for a particular item, run the Farmer's Almanac and input the item you want. It shall tell you the best 3 quests and the chance of getting 1 or more of the item. Simple!
There are two versions of this program - an exe file for Windows or a Python version if you have Python 3.0 or later (so far, I haven't managed to get the Windows version to work, however).
