Jhen Mohran

No Element

Inflicts No Ailments

Weakest to Ice then Dragon

Weakest spots:

Mouth > Belly > Spine cracks

Breakables:

Horns, Front legs, Spine cracks

Tips:

 - The gong and ballista binder will interrupt Jhen Mohran's attacks on the ship, preserving ship integrity.

 - Anti-dragon bombs provided in the supplies are very effective for tusk-breaking, made even more so by Bombardier. Ballista shots, especially with Artillery / Part Breaker / Felyne Bombardier are also very effective.

 - The Dragonator can be used up to 3 times in the battle to hit Jhen Mohran, twice in the first stage (during shoulder barge and the head-on charge). However, it requires very good use of gong and binder to get both hits in the first stage, and the head-on charge is generally the easiest time to strike. In this attack, you want to strike the button just after Jhen surfaces after his sideways dive into the sand. If deciding to do the first Dragonator attack during Jhen's shoulder barge (it will hit the left tusk), press the button just before it starts to commence the barge.

 - In the second phase, use the gong just before Jhen performs a belly slam attack to knock it over and gain access to the inside of the mouth.

 - A decent video on how to use the ship's tools well can be found here.

 - The best way to get Ghostly Quartz is by mining on Hallowed Jhen's back

 - The fight is little different to a normal Jhen fight, the main difference being order of attacks.
