Tips:

 - As with regular Gore Magala, do enough damage when infected to overcome the virus for an affinity boost. Nulberries can help give you more time for this.

 - Unlike Gore Magala, Shagara Magala has eyes and can be Flash Bombed. This is useful for hitting it out of the air.
